A leader in the Midwest region, Bennett's reputation for competitively priced, quality products and integral service is built upon 20 years of business experience. The company was founded in 1987, which began two decades of steady business growth marked by a succession of business milestones:
1999 - the second warehouse was established in Wichita, KS to better serve our regional clients with JIT delivery
1999 - The Bennett Packaging design center was established in Bentonville, AR, to better serve our clients selling consumer packaged goods to Wal-Mart. This allowed us to expand two service areas, our pallet program and point-of-purchase displays. Also at this time we gained Approved Vendor Status with Wal-Mart and SAM's Club.
2001 - We significantly increased our headquarters, manufacturing, and primary warehouse facility by moving into an underground office park in the suburbs of Kansas City. With over 400,000 square feet of space, we were able to increase production and by streamlining the manufacturing processes.
2001 - A major equipment investment in the JUMBO gave us an upgrade technology, opened up capacity, and increased our efficiency. The JUMO is a 2-color Flexo Folder/Gluer which has full in-line die cutting. Handling sheets up to 86 by 196 inches, it is still the largest size available in the Midwest.
2005 - Another substantial equipment investment in two pieces of equipment has further increased our capacity and efficiencies: The Martin 1228 Transline (a 4-color flexo folder/gluer with full in-line die cutting) and Allegra B-130 (a specialty folder/gluer).
2006 - We were awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) schedule contract by the federal government.
2006 - We were recognized on two notable lists in the media. First, the Kansas City Business Journal ranked Bennett Packaging as one of the Top 25 Woman-owned companies in the area. Second, The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce selected us as one of the 2006 Top Ten Small Businesses.
2007 - Bennett Packaging is a certified woman-owned enterprise and a family-managed business. Our annual revenues have increased to $24 million, evidence that our investment in our employees, our facilities, and our industry is paying off. We look forward to this year as we continue to expand our capabilities and market share.
